Quest Communications High Speed Internet offers continuous, “always-on” internet connections via telephone lines while at the same time allowing you to use your phone line for calls. Packages offer speeds from up to 1.5 Mbps to 5 Mbps downstream. With MSN Premium, you also get MSN Money Plus and Encarta Premium. The service also includes an automated protection system that includes anti-virus, junk e-mail guard, pop-up blocker, two-way firewall, Parental control, anti-spyware (Webroot Spy Sweeper for MSN), file back-up and computer tune-ups. Doing the usual internet activities are also made easier – Qwest Mail by Windows Live allows you to preview mail without leaving the inbox, create folders, where you can drag and drop messages, plus other user-friendly features. There is also Live Messenger (which allows you to share maps, photos, and search results without leaving Messenger) and Live Search (which allows you to search through web pages, images, maps, news without having to retype your query). Content is also comprehensive - with entertainment, sports, news, music and video you can easily download. Up to 10 e-mail accounts are available and these can be accessed anywhere in the world. The package also includes other tools that make it easier for you to share photos (MSN Photo Plus), look for information (MSN Encarta Premium) or put all the things you want in one easy-to-find spot (Dashboard).
Installation and maintenance is made easier with QuickCare, which is a tool to help you fix any technical problem that you may encounter. However, there is still the 24/7 helpline that you can call in case you still need assistance. However, service availability is limited as it is offered only in 14 states.
